This additional module to the Internal Auditing for ISO 14001:2015 Management Systems or can be delivered as a standalone one day course. OVERVIEW

This course will raise the awareness of the risks associated with unsafe manual handling practices for all employees. It is also ideal for those who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their job such as handling deliveries, packing and distribution.

COURSE CONTENT

Learners will develop a greater awareness of manual handling, including: common manual handling injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe manual handling principles and manual handling equipment.

This course provides learners with a practical knowledge of spill management whether at the workplace or during transportation of goods. It covers how to identify workplace pollution pathways; environmental damage compliance requirements and sanctions; what to do in the event of an emergency; how to use spill equipment and dealing with the aftermath of an incident. This course can be delivered at your business premises or at Trafford Ecology Park with access to lakeside facilities.

The waste awareness course provides learners with a practical knowledge of the Waste Duty of Care. The course covers the legal requirements for the storage, transfer and disposal of waste including completing transfer records and use of List of Waste (European Waste Catalogue) codes. It also includes how to avoid waste incidents and reduce the cost of waste to business and the environment.
