Trafford Ecology Park has played host to several celebrities in the past few years and we thought we’d share with you why they were here and what they got up to.
Known for her popular social-issue-themed documentaries ‘Stacey Dooley Investigates’ for BBC Three, Stacey attended Trafford Ecology Park in March 2022. She made use of the park’s Meeting Place, a sustainable building available for hire by businesses for meetings, and other events, to host a Podcast called Fresh Starts, shining a light on the highs and lows of dealing with change, talking to people from all different walks of life.
She met with Natasha to talk about Groundwork’s Working Wardrobe, a personal styling service in Trafford, which gives people the outfit and confidence they need to get the job that they deserve. This episode featured one of Working Wardrobe’s clients, Thomas, and his journey to getting a job after struggling with a life of addiction.
The podcast is available here.
Stacey expressed that she loved the Meeting Place and felt the Eco Park was a beautiful space which we were lucky to work in. We couldn’t agree more Stacey!
Originally known for his 90’s fitness workouts, Mr Motivator was filming with the BBC’s Morning Live, showcasing various charity initiatives. Once again, Mr Motivator was introducing Groundwork’s Working Wardrobe to the BBC viewers.
During his meeting with Natasha, Mr Motivator delved into what the process would be for a client being referred to the project.
At the appointment clients work with a personal stylist to choose clothing, shoes, and accessories for their interview at no cost to them, as the clothing has already been donated by other people and businesses to the cause. They then go on to receive advice from a team of employment specialists who will help with interview preparation and make sure that the client feels ready. Mr Motivator even threw in a few of his own helpful tips to a client that was there that day!
Once the client has been successful in landing the job, Working Wardrobe then offer them a capsule wardrobe so they can continue their newfound confidence in their new job!
